A trip to Italy hosted by Australians with family in Calabria

We will take you where we go on holidays with our family

This isn’t an ordinary route, we have created the itinerary from our personal experiences. This is is a group tour that visits Calabria and Sicily in Italy for those who have been before and already seen all the popular spots like Rome, Venice, or the Amalfi Coast.

Our small group tour with just 25 people has a slow pace and explores the far South of Italy where there are no queues, no influencers, and you get a real taste of local life which embraces the art of savouring each moment.

A group of people posing for a photo on a waterfront promenade with rocky cliffs and Bagnara Italy in the background, under clear skies with some clouds.
Aerial view of a Tropea coastline with cliffs, a beach with white sand, and turquoise ocean water. There are residential houses and lush green trees on top of the cliffs, with boats in the water and a clear, blue sky.
Clear blue ocean water in Bagnara reflecting sunlight, with a distant coastal town and green mountains in the background.
Group of people standing outdoors near a large body of water in Calabria, posing for a photo with some raising their fists or hands, in front of historic buildings and a clear blue sky.
A group of people enjoying an outdoor meal at a sunny restaurant patio in Calabria with yellow and white umbrellas.
A group of tourists standing on a viewpoint overlooking a Bagnara Italy with colorful buildings, palm trees, and the ocean in the background, under a partly cloudy sky.
Four smiling middle-aged tourists standing close together in a narrow outdoor alleyway in Italy, dressed casually with hats and sunglasses, with colorful buildings and decorative street art on the walls behind them.
Four women are smiling and taking a selfie together outside with a scenic view of the ocean and Catania on a hillside in the background.

Who this tour suits

If you are travelling on your own, with a loved one, friends, or extended family, this tour is perfectly suited for everyone.

We eat most meals together as a group so that nobody is left alone.

For solo travellers the single supplement gives you the choice of having luxurious privacy while being on a group tour.

Yes there are 22 meals included on this tour so you get to taste and experience food from Southern Italy that is fresh, packed with flavour, and handcrafted daily.

Most food tours of Italy take you to Tuscany. We take you to the part of the country Italians go to eat.

Twenty two meals are included across the fourteen days, and almost none of them are in restaurants that advertise to tourists. In Bagnara Calabra we eat where Angelo's family has eaten for many generations, including a seafood restaurant on the water.

In Sicily we sit down to a farm lunch on the slopes below Etna, where the wine is made from vines grown in volcanic soil and poured by the people who grew them. You will taste torrone in the town that has made it for over 50 years & learn to make pizza in a working kitchen rather than a demonstration studio.

For anyone travelling on their own, this is the part that matters most. Every included meal is a shared table with the same twenty five people you have been travelling with all week.

By day two you are breaking bread with friends, not strangers.
